So, I was home alone.

"If I could travel back in time, I would definitely change a part of history. I mean - JUST IMAGINE: stepping into a time machine and being straight in front of NAPOLEON BONAPARTE in the French camp! DAMN, that would be so fun!"

It's been a thrill day.

I accidentally woke up early in the morning on a holiday. AGAIN. In addition, tried to study history and of course, fell asleep. AGAIN. (Somehow managed to recall a few things in that 'boring history textbook.')

18 JUNE 1815

THE FRENCH CAMP

The day history marked Napoleon's final defeat - UNTIL I SHOWED UP.

Just one day before the Battle of Waterloo. I'm wearing a French officer's uniform and carrying important information from the future. I somehow get into Napoleon's camp.

"Who are you?" He asked as I entered.

"Time traveller," I shivered. "I'm here to help you win."

"Win?" his voice, amused. "You mean the battle I'm about to lose?"

"Not if you do what I say."

THE ROOM FROZE.

"Speak," Napoleon said.

"Your army is strong, but they know your style. This time you've to be unpredictable."

I explained Napoleon to start the battle as usual, but pretend to retreat. Now, the time was to Sabotage the Prussians. A night before, we reached a narrow wooden bridge, Prussians would use to reach the battlefield.

"Destroy it" I whispered "Leave no trace and slow them down".

Rain was about to approach, we had to be really quick. By dawn, the bridge was gone and all that was seen there were muddy roads. The Prussian army was unable to move fast and was likely to arrive late. Napoleon's cannon crews struggled to move their guns through the mud.

"In real history this delay costed him a lot, NOT THIS TIME."

I advised him to build wooden platforms, and keep them above the mud to save the capacity of the cannons. By implementing all the things I asked for, the French Army was firing long before Wellington, Prussia and others expected.

Later, we used scraps of Prussian uniforms, disguised as a small group of soldiers, and acted as we are Prussian Scouts. Wellington mistakenly thought, that they were actual Prussians, they welcomed them. Now the French army is inside the Wellington camp, they can now easily access their weapon sand attack on the same, and so did they.

The French' in Prussian uniform, attacked the British army, destroyed their powerful weapons, silently killed the guards, gradually moved towards the battlefield soft-launching their shapeshift, then the leftover French army joined in. Hours into the battle, the British forces panicked and formations were finally broken.

VICTORY!!!

The field was littered with flags, smoke and bodies. No Prussians were arrived, Napoleon against all odds, stood victorious.

"You have saved my position." he said "Tell me, who are you?" "I'm from future", I replied "and in that future, you lost."

He smiled.

I stepped back into the time machine, and back to my desk. My history textbook now read: "Napoleon's victory at Waterloo, continued his rule over Europe for the next twenty years!"

No World War I, No Hitler.

Felt really happy to read something, I brought to change.

Meanwhile, I heard some sound, seemed familiar. WAIT. Why can't I read the changed lines of history? The sound was raising gradually. WAIT, DON'T TELL ME THAT,NO WAY-

I WOKE UP.

That was the sound of my alarm, it's 9:30 AM, when I'm actually supposed to wake up.

Remember? I accidentally woke up early on a holiday! Fell asleep while studying history! Which means - that all was a DREAM! NO WAY!!!

I wish this to be real.
