I’m 11, and I saw something super weird! I was home alone, sipping yummy chocolate milk on the couch, feeling cozy. Suddenly, I saw a green shadow staring at me through the window. I turned fast but there was nothing but scared me a little
A few days later, I was playing in the backyard when I heard a buzzing sound like bees. It came from Dad’s old shed where he keeps his tools. The door was open, and when I saw inside, I saw something amazing! There was a green creature with shiny skin and glowing eyes like fireflies. It talked in a funny robot voice, saying numbers, “3-1-4… 9-2-6…” I remembered books about aliens who talk with numbers instead of words. I grabbed a stick and wrote the numbers in the dirt: 3-1-4, 9-2-6. I thought hard and figured out it was a code that said “Come to my Planet.” The creature wrote more numbers on the shed wall, saying its planet was super far, across lots of stars and galaxies.
Since it’s so far, Mom and Dad won’t even know I’m gone! So, I wrote a note saying I was going to space and would be back in a few days. The alien’s eyes glowed like it was smiling. It took me to its spaceship a big, shiny silver ball! Inside, it felt like we were spinning round and round, like on a merry-go-round. But in just a few seconds, we were there! I thought the planet was close, but the alien said we crossed ten galaxies! The planet was like a giant candy shop with trees made of gummy bears, rivers of chocolate, houses built from cookies, and roads made with dark chocolate. “Eat my planet!”, said alien and I ate lots of candies and chocolates. I missed my best friend Charlie, who too loves chocolates like me and I wished he was here.
To my surprise, Charlie was right there! I asked, “How did you get here?” He said he had magic glasses that let him go anywhere he looked through them. After I left Earth, Charlie came to my house to play, found my note, and used his glasses to come over here. We stayed in a chocolate house of the alien. One night, I saw a glowing arrow outside the window, pointing to something magical. Charlie was asleep, so I shook him and said, “Let’s follow it!” We ran outside, following the arrow, and I dropped pebbles from my pocket so we wouldn’t get lost. After a while, we found three trees, each with a door in its trunk. I opened one door slowly and saw a giant creature sleeping inside! I whispered to Charlie, “Run!” We ran away, as the monster might wake up and crush us under his giant feet.
We had so much fun but started missing home. I thought those tree doors might take us back to Earth. But the next morning, Charlie was sad, he lost his magic glasses when we ran away from the monster. He cried, thinking we would be stuck forever. We followed my pebbles back to the trees, but the doors were gone! We looked everywhere, feeling tired and sad. I sat under a tree, frustrated, and threw a stone into a lake nearby and the doors appeared again! We shouted, “Yay!” but hid in bushes, fearing monster. We checked the doors quietly. The first one was dark, with a tiny light. “That’s Pluto!” Charlie whispered. The next door showed a blue, shiny ball. “Earth!” we both yelled. We ran inside, passing weird flowers that smelled sweet. Deep inside, we found a ladder that turned into a slide, like at our park. We held hands, closed our eyes, and slid down in the dark. It was scary, wind hit our faces, our clothes flapped, and we went super fast. Then, suddenly we landed on the ground. We opened our eyes, saw bright light, familiar noises! We were in my backyard, next to the swings! It was morning, and Mom called me for breakfast. Charlie ran to his house, and I was so happy to be home.
