My parents never allowed me to play games but slyly, I used to play. I was obsessed with gaming. All I could think about was playing games. I could not think about anything else. My parents told me to focus on studies. I did my homework quickly but after that I played games. I was so obsessed with games that I decided that I have to build a game.

So I and my friends, Krishank, Vivaan, Ved, Shanaya decided to build a game. It took lots of time, but we didn’t not give up. We worked on it after our studies got over and it was a lot of fun.

Krishank, Vivaan, Ved, Shanaya and I put a lot of hard work into our game, which we called SKYLAND. As soon as we made and launched it, it went viral. We got 1 billion visits in a month. We were surprised but also happy. Then we entered our game into a competition and it is called the Bloxy Awards. One month ago, I got a call saying “you have been chosen”. I couldn’t believe it.

The Bloxy awards are the most nerve racking annual ceremony ever. 74 most popular games get shortlisted and we were one of them. We made it to the final list and I and my team are invited to attend the awards function. We are nervous, but are excited to go.

I call Krishank, Vivaan, Shanaya and we go to the airport. We land in California and after resting for some time, we go to the awards theatre.

The awards ceremony is at 9 am. I am walking down the street, walk in the award theatre and I meet my hero, Idd Kyoto. The show starts. Finally, SKYLANDS gets called out and we placed (wait for it). Deep breath…1st!!! We won. Our little game won the competition and we are all happy.

I am so happy, I’m crying. I want to now build more games but what I am not happy about is that I have to go back and study. I have my exams coming. But as I promised my mom and dad, I will do both – work hard and study and also make new games.
